Family Readiness Program

Family Readiness Program Training (FRPT)
Family Readiness Programs at Camp Pendleton offer services to assist commands in developing effective readiness programs while helping unit families become self-sufficient. The program offers training for Command Teams, Family Readiness Officers, Family Readiness Advisors and Family Readiness Assistants.
Training
Family Readiness Volunteer Training: Required by Headquarters Marine Corps (HQMC), this training prepares Family Readiness Advisors and Assistants to perform their duties for the Unit Family Readiness Program.
Family Readiness Resource Training: Required for Family Readiness Volunteers and/or FROs who have been trained at other installations within the last 3 years and appointed as a Family Readiness Volunteer/FRO at Camp Pendleton. Information on local resources.
Family Readiness Officer Training: Required by HQMC for appointed Family Readiness Officers and Deputy Family Readiness Officers providing tools to manage a successful Family Readiness Program .
Family Readiness Officer Continuing Education Session (CES): Offers appointed FROs and Deputy FROs information and education on programs and services available to active duty personnel and family members .
Command Team Training: Required by HQMC for members of the Unit Family Readiness Program Command Team at each unit. Training scheduled per unit request.
Mass Communication Tool (MCT) Training: Required by HQMC for appointed FROs, Deputy FROs, and active duty Family Readiness Administrative Assistants to learn how to use the MCT.
Volunteer Tracking Tool (VTT) Training: Required by HQMC for appointed FROs, Deputy FROs, and Active Duty Administrative Assistants to learn how to use the VTT .
MCT/VTT In-Service Training: Designed to give the trained users of the MCT and VTT time to work with the assistance of a trainer inside the technology enablers
Unit Family Readiness Program Information
The Unit Family Readiness Program is the responsibility of the Commanding Officer (CO). MCCS supports active duty personnel, their family members and the Unit Family Readiness Program.
The goal of the Unit Family Readiness Program (the Command Team) is to provide resource information and training (through Marine Corps Family Team Building) in addition to support services by MCCS.
